Barrie Westwell

M.I.Prod.E. Tech.Eng.(C.E.I.) M.I.O.D. Barrie started his career as a chartered production engineer, moving into sales and marketing and then management.

His communications skills led to a diversion as a performer but he was soon staging and managing productions in the UK, Europe, North America, the Far East, Australia and New Zealand.

In the early 80's he moved into the world of Television working for the BBC in Design and Programme Resource Planning and then as a Department Head.

He is co Founder of I.P.H. a well respected Media Management company, dealing with hundreds of startups and projects over a 20 year period.

Barrie and Jeremy met at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication where Barrie lectures in Business, Enterprise and Communications for a number of BA (Hons) courses.

He also has considerable experience as a company and project director, designer and consultant.

Professor Jeremy Barr

Jeremy Barr is currently Professor of Broadcasting and Convergent Media at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication and played a key role in creating the Broadcast Centre of Excellence now in its fifteenth year in that college..

His career began with the BBC series ‘Civilisation’ and programmes on Apollo Space Missions for which his higher education in the study of History and Politics proved to be surprisingly appropriate.

He has worked in North America on early forms of interactive television and the development of themed entertainment propositions for the global market place.

During the past seven years he has enjoyed the challenges of a metamorphosing world of business enterprise in the role of creative director in content creation and project director for an interaction design agency.
